Industry Trends: Mobile Experiences Are Here To Stay

According to data gathered in a March 2021 Oracle Food & Beverage global study, a large percentage of guests want to continue to use their own phones throughout their dining experience post pandemic. Key insights from the study include:

  • 49% want to continue to be able to make reservations, place orders, and pay directly from their own phone. 
  • 46% want the ability to settle their bill without their server.
  • 78% plan to eat out at least once a month moving forward, up 19% over last year.
  • 73% plan to reduce their use of cash from now on.
